It is now officially the first Dundee Design Month (May 2018) brought to you by UNESCO City of Design, Dundee. We’ve melded together the huge range of design activity that happens across the city in the month of May. In major venues, hidden corners, galleries, cafes, libraries and new spaces, we will introduce you to the makers, thinkers and doers who build on Dundee’s design foundations, making the city rich and vibrant.
You will find details of all future UNESCO City of Design events on this page.
The first Dundee Design Parade took place on 26th May 2018 and celebrated Dundee and the network of UNESCO Creative Cities, especially our fellow UNESCO Cities of Design.
As part of Scotland’s Year of Young People 2018, over 500 young people from 33 different youth groups from right across Dundee created some amazing artworks, banners, costumes, head-dresses and sculptures (including robots and cars) to form the lengthy parade.
