Dundee Design Festival – Call For Designers
Dundee Design Festival will take place from the 25th – 28th May 2016 and there are several ways that you can get involved!
Applications are welcome from designers, businesses and design collectives for the first Dundee Design Festival. The festival is a four day celebration of design in Dundee marking the city’s first full year as the UK’s UNESCO City of Design.
An exhibition of local, national and international design will fill the floor of a former industrial building and a programme of events will feature forums, talks and practical workshops led by designers.
At an evening Information Session hosted with Creative Dundee, Festival Producer Siôn Parkinson shared his vision for the festival and how you can get involved. A video from the evening is now available along with the slides from the presentations below.
We want to tell the story of how brilliant design impacts on every aspect of our daily lives, and showcase the breadth of design practices that have found their home in the city from digital to product to public sector design.
If you would like to see your work included in the exhibition or if you would like to propose hosting a workshop, a demonstration or give a talk we would like to hear from you.
