On 25 June 2020, UNESCO in the UK launched their brand new report which celebrates the National Value of UNESCO to the UK. It explores the financial value and wider social and cultural value of UNESCO designations, and how we are each fulfilling the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Congratulations to Biome Collective, one of Scotland’s most pioneering video game designers, who represented Dundee at the London Design Biennale 2018 with their interactive game “Shpeel”. Produced by Tilde Arts in partnership with Creative Dundee, Shpeel has been developed following a series of workshops with young people across Dundee asking: “What can video games do to help young people start talking about their mental health?”

Here at UNESCO City of Design Dundee we are delighted that a device designed to measure the amount of time people spend on their phones in a traditional Scottish pub has won an award in the 2017 Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents.
